Cathetrix is continuing its global expansion into the Asian market with an initial order from Doctor Ton, a Mongolian healthcare supplier, to evaluate the market potential of Foley-Safe among hospitals and elderly care institutions across the country.
The order marks an important milestone for Cathetrix, extending its growing international footprint into Asia and opening new opportunities in a region where demand for advanced medical technologies continues to increase.
Doctor Ton is an established Mongolian healthcare company specializing in the introduction and distribution of innovative medical technologies. Founded in 2008 and based in Ulaanbaatar, Doctor Ton has experience working with international healthcare manufacturers and supporting the adoption of advanced medical solutions within Mongolia’s healthcare system.
Mongolia’s healthcare system includes nearly 5,000 healthcare facilities, including hospitals, specialized centers, and family health clinics, creating a nationwide infrastructure for the adoption of new medical technologies.
The initial shipment will enable healthcare providers and long-term care facilities to assess Foley-Safe in real-world clinical environments. Feedback from these early evaluations will help determine future adoption and support broader commercialization efforts in the Mongolian market.
While Mongolia is a relatively small market compared to many Asian countries, it presents several attractive opportunities for innovative medical devices. The country’s healthcare sector has been undergoing gradual modernization, supported by increased healthcare spending and government efforts to improve access to medical services.
A recent report shows growing demand for advanced medical technologies, driven by an aging population, rising awareness of chronic health conditions, and investments in healthcare infrastructure.
Within urological care, demographic trends are creating additional demand. Research on Mongolia’s urinary incontinence and catheter-related care markets points to a growing elderly population and increasing awareness of urinary health conditions as key drivers of demand for catheter products and related medical technologies. Hospitals and home-care settings are expected to remain the primary end users of these solutions in the coming years.
The collaboration with Doctor Ton represents another important step in Cathetrix’s broader global expansion strategy, which now spans Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia.
As part of its expansion into Asia, Cathetrix has recently begun a collaboration with Medspecs Solutions to market its products in the Philippines. The companies are currently focusing on obtaining regulatory approvals from the local Ministry of Health.
To support its continued international growth, Cathetrix will also be exhibiting at the World Health Expo (WHX) Miami 2026, taking place June 17-19, 2026, in Miami, Florida. Visitors are invited to meet the team at Pod Y106 in the Future-X zone to learn more about its latest innovations in urological care.
