Cathetrix Selected to Present at Xcelerate Start-Up Competition During WHX Miami 2026
The recognition of Foley-Safe at the leading healthcare innovation event reflects increasing industry focus on safer, more reliable Foley catheter securement solutions.
Miami, FL, June 3, 2026 – Cathetrix, a developer of next-generation Foley catheter stabilization solutions, has been selected to participate in the prestigious Xcelerate Start-Up Competition at World Health Expo (WHX) 2026, taking place June 17-19, 2026, in Miami, Florida.
Cathetrix will present at the competition its innovative Foley Safe, a FDA-cleared Foley catheter securement device, before a panel of judges, healthcare leaders, investors, and industry professionals.
The presentation will take place on Thursday, June 18, on the Future X Stage, one of the event’s central platforms for healthcare innovation and business growth. Representing Cathetrix will be Dr. Dor Golomb, urologist at Samson Assuta Ashdod University Hospital and member of the company’s advisory board, who will present the technology and discuss the growing need for safer catheter securement solutions in modern healthcare.
Foley-Safe is designed to reduce catheter movement, lower the risk of catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs), and help prevent accidental catheter extraction. The solution offers a practical way for providers to improve patient comfort and clinical outcomes, while giving distributors access to a differentiated product in a high-demand category.
Xcelerate is one of the flagship innovation competitions at WHX Miami, bringing together some of the world’s most promising healthcare start-ups. The competition focuses on healthcare innovation fields including medical devices, digital health, diagnostics, AI, remote monitoring, and clinical workflow solutions. Only a limited number of start-ups are selected following a structured evaluation process that examines innovation, market relevance, business readiness, and growth potential.
Cathetrix’s selection reflects increasing recognition of the company’s approach to addressing one of the ongoing challenges in urological and hospital care: accidental catheter dislodgement and inadequate catheter stabilization. Foley-Safe was developed to help healthcare providers improve catheter securement reliability while reducing complications associated with catheter movement and accidental removal. These issues continue to affect hospitals and care facilities worldwide, contributing to patient discomfort, workflow disruption, and additional healthcare costs.
“Being selected for the Xcelerate competition is an important validation of the clinical need our technology addresses,” said Tal Hadass, CMO at Cathetrix. “We are excited for the opportunity to present our innovation on an international stage and engage with healthcare professionals, investors, and potential partners from across the healthcare industry.”
Alongside its participation in the competition, Cathetrix will also exhibit at Pod Y106 at WHX Miami 2026, where the company plans to meet distributors, healthcare providers, and strategic collaborators from global markets.
