Cathetrix to Present FDA-Registered Catheter Securement Device at WHX Miami 2026

Foley-Safe, the world’s first Foley catheter securement device, targets growing U.S. demand for safer, more efficient catheter care

Miami, FL, May 2026 – Cathetrix, a developer of next-generation Foley catheter stabilization solutions, will present Foley-Safe, its FDA-registered Foley catheter securement device, at World Health Expo (WHX) 2026, taking place June 17-19, 2026, in Miami, Florida.

This participation marks Cathetrix’s strategic entry into the North American market. As healthcare providers and distributors seek solutions that improve patient safety while supporting operational efficiency, Cathetrix will showcase Foley-Safe at Pod Y106 in the Future X zone.

Foley-Safe is designed to reduce catheter movement, lower the risk of catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI), and help prevent accidental catheter extraction. The solution offers a practical way for providers to improve patient comfort and clinical outcomes, while giving distributors access to a differentiated product in a high-demand category.

Traditional Foley catheters rely on internal balloon retention, leaving them vulnerable to external forces such as movement and accidental pulling. Foley-Safe addresses this gap with a three-layer securement system:

  • External Securement – A durable adhesive platform stabilizes the catheter and isolates it from movement caused by the collection bag. The medical-grade adhesive can remain in place for up to 14 days.

  • Movement Control Mechanism – The system absorbs micro-movements, reducing mechanical stress and helping lower the risk of irritation and infection.

  • Safety Disconnection – In the event of sudden pulling, the device enables controlled disconnection to help prevent injury.

This multi-layered approach enhances catheter stability, reduces unnecessary movement, and helps prevent avoidable complications.

“The U.S. healthcare system sets a high bar for infection prevention and patient safety,” said Tal Hadass, CMO at Cathetrix. “Foley-Safe was developed to meet these expectations while offering a simple, effective solution that fits seamlessly into clinical workflows.”

With millions of catheterized patients in the United States each year, demand for reliable securement solutions continues to grow. For distributors, Foley-Safe represents a strong opportunity to expand their portfolio with an FDA-registered product that addresses well-known clinical challenges.
